CONFIRMATION BIBLE DONATIONS
Our 1st Year Confirmation Candidates are beginning their
two-year preparation program to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
We are in need your spiritual support and encouragement on their
Confirmation Journey.  We are asking parishioners to sponsor a
teen by purchasing a Catholic Youth Bible ($25.00) for them to use in
Bible study and as a reference for life.  We kindly request that
you take home a Bible today with instructions so that you may write a
brief personal dedication inside of it to the Confirmation
candidate and present them to the candidates at the 12:00 noon
"Rite of Initiation" mass on October 3rd, if you're available.
Thank you for your anticipated generosity and thoughtfulness!

WORLD YOUTH PILGRIMAGE TO SPAIN
World Youth Day is a youth-oriented Pilgrimage that
celebrates our Catholic faith at a week-long event every few years
at a different international location.  Pope Benedict will lead
the pilgrimage which will attract over a million teens from almost
every country on the planet!  Next summer, Our Lady of
Consolation will send off several teenagers as pilgrims to Madrid to
represent our parish, Diocese, State of New Jersey, and the USA!
Those planning to attend with Laura are:  Sergei Church,
Matthew Conrado,  Alyssa Jackson,  Chloe Kelly,
James Stokem,  Angela Tarantino,  and Mrs. Lydia Church.
Our teens will be paying for their own airfare.  They are
working hard to fundraise the remainder.  Your support
of their efforts to deepen their faith on this journey is greatly
appreciated.  Monetary donations can be sent to the Youth Office
made out to:  "Our Lady of Consolation" with "WYD-Madrid" in
the Memo line.
