In the August 3, 2006 issue of the Beacon, Our Lady of Consolation parish was recognized as the first parish in Diocese of Paterson to commit to the Stewardship way of life. Three years in the making and under the leadership and guidance of our pastor Father Michael Lombardo, our parish was declared a faith community of hospitality, prayer, formation and service.
As a parish family, we made the commitment to share our time, talent and treasure in the Stewardship way of life. We recognized that all that we have are gifts from God and to be shared with others.
Stewardship is a way of life. It not a program, project, product or about money. It is a conversion process involving our heart, mind and soul. It reminds us that our faith is a living part of our daily lives.
Presently we are renewing our Stewardship commitments. As faithful Stewards we are asked to give our time, attend Mass, receive the sacraments, be involved in the parish; share our talents and the special gifts God has given each of us and share our treasure enabling our parish to help our family and community.
Please return your Stewardship commitment. Every commitment is valued and appreciated.
