In today’s Gospel Luke tells of how Jesus fed a multitude of people with five loaves of bread and two fishes. Jesus reminds us that “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.” The Eucharist is a gift from a loving God to each of us.
Our Annual Stewardship Renewal provides us with an opportunity to share our gifts with others. Stewardship is not a program. It is a way of life that defines how we live our faith by sharing God’s gifts of Time, Talent and Treasure.
Time: There are 24 hours in a day, 168 hours in a week. How do we choose to use that time to share God’s gift to us?
Talent: Our parish supports over 40 ministries within Wayne, the surrounding community and a mission in San Pablo, Ecuador. Many of our ministries have declined in membership over the past few years. Some ministries take more time than others but all are equally rewarding. WE NEED YOUR MINISTRY PARTICIPATION NOW!
Treasure: There are two primary sources of parish income, the Offertory and a Capital Campaign. The Offertory provides funds for the day- to- day operating expenses while a Capital Campaign provides funds, not available from other sources, for major expenses. Please take the time to review the Stewardship material sent to you. Make a decision to live your faith by sharing your Time, Talent & Treasure.GO IN PEACE TO LOVE AND SERVE THE LORD
