A Native American grandfather was talking to his grandson about how he felt. He said, “I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is vengeful, angry and violent. The other wolf is loving, compassionate and full of faith.”
The grandson asked, “Grandfather, which wolf will win the fight in your heart?”
The grandfather answered, “The one I feed.”
In today’s Gospel according to John, Jesus tells the disciples to love one another as He loved them. What a wonderful message and one we need to hear today.
We live in a complicated world. At times, our wants become our needs and we fail to recognize the difference.
Our youth are challenged every day in ways we never experienced and our seniors’ face the reality of growing old.
Love is powerful and a gift to be shared as Jesus told the disciples.
