Dear Parishioners,
During the past several weeks, we have all witnessed, and some experienced, the devastation of Mother Nature. The winds and water that help cool us in the summer’s heat turned violent, destroying much in its path. Many people have lost so much, and yet we see the compassion and love of so many reaching out to those in need. I share with you a reflection of St. Teresa of Avila who understood the importance of living our faith through our actions.CHRIST’S BODY IS YOURS
“Christ has no body but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the eyes with which
he looks with compassion on the world,
Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good,
Yours are the hands with which he blesses all the world, Yours are the hands, yours are the feet,
Yours are the eyes, you are his body.
Christ has no body now but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the eyes with which
he looks with compassion on this world.
Christ has no body on earth but yours.”Our parish offers over forty ministries for your participation. Several of our ministries need addition members. If you are not a member of any ministry or wish to join an additional ministry please consider this an invitation to share your Time and Talent.
