In today’s Gospel Jesus tells us “When you hold a lunch or dinner, do not invite your friends or brothers or your relatives or your wealthy neighbors, in case they may invite you back and you have repayment. Rather, when you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind; blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”
Within several weeks we will begin an Annual Stewardship Commitment. Our commitment to share our Time, Talent and Treasure.
Stewardship is a conversion journey of receiving God’s love and returning love back to him. A journey that requires Prayer, Reflection and Time to allow God to show us who we are and the person we can become. It is a journey of Faith.
The Steward learns to give by sharing their Time, Talent and Treasure, not out of an obligation or duty, but out of a desire to share God’s gifts with others.
The Four Pillars of Parish Stewardship invite us to experience, witness and live the Stewardship way of life.Hospitality: “When I was a stranger, you welcomed me.”
Prayer: A Heart to Heart with God.
Formation: Continuous Conversation regarding our Faith.
Service: Love in Action.Life is God’s gift to us. How we live our lives is our gift to Him in return. May our response to the 2016 Annual Stewardship Renewal be truly reflective of our gratitude for God’s blessings.
