Throughout our Lenten journey, we were reminded of all of the suffering and despair that surrounds our lives. As Christians, what happens to some of us truly belongs to all of us as we are called to love and serve one another. Even amidst great suffering, love and renewal can emerge.
The Passion unfolded from the Last Supper to the profound moment of Jesus’ death to the glory of His resurrection! Jesus’ story is as meaningful today as it was over 2,000 years ago. It is about friendship, betrayal, faith, and forgiveness. The entire story is about the power of love.
Can words actually change our world? Jesus’ words did…and they still do! What was His message that inspired the Disciples? Jesus knew that love truly expressed to others is a force that can move mountains! We each have our story. In ministering to teens, I’ve been blessed with countless snapshots of each of them growing in discipleship and faith as they begin to feel His presence through their good deeds. What a gift to witness them living in His glory!
I would like to share inspirational words written by my friend, Michele DeSantis:
May you always find yourself surrounded by good Friends who will help you shoulder your Crosses, celebrate your Rises and be good company on the journey as you Go Forth.
May you embrace each moment this life offers…appreciate each season… understand each phase in the cycle …see each possibility…learn from and grow through each challenge…let go of whatever keeps you from breathing fully and freely… and hold on to all that is dear.
Be Blessed . . . Be a Blessing . . . Be at Peace . . .”
