The message in this week’s gospel is a simple one about “CHOICE”. The choices we make in life reflect the priorities that each of us sets for the GOOD conduct of our lives.
Being a disciple of Christ greatly raises the importance of the word good and places many qualifiers before it. Are the choices we make just, loving, life-giving and holy or are they choices that only advance selfish want and desires?
Jesus says, “Carry your cross, come after me and be my disciple”. The action verbs in those phrases compel us to choose wisely our path in life and make discipleship in Christ the signpost at every turn…
