OLC/Annunciation’s Young Adult Ministry is a growing group of young men and women from the area united in their Christian faith.  Members of the group range in age from their early 20’s and into their 30’s.  Whether members are in college, recently graduated or working in any number of fields, they are all seeking a connection to others and their faith.  Our goal is to help renew and strengthen and sometimes reintroduce faith to people our age through social and spiritual interactions. The group meets monthly and you can join at any time. There is no commitment as to what events or how many events that you attend. The purpose of these events is to network and build friendships with other young adults who share their faith and more.

Some of the regular events that have been organized include:

Trivia and Game Nights – We get together to eat, drink and test our knowledge at places like Mothers Ale House, Thatcher Magee’s or the OLC Parish Center.

Bowling and Mini Golf – We meet as a group for a night of fun competition and good company at various local locations.

Movie Nights – We meet at a local theater or sometimes at the OLC Ministry center to see a movie and afterwards perhaps grab a bite to eat.

Fall Festivities – We carpool and travel to a farm for fun events like corn mazes, pumpkin or apple picking and cider tasting.

Road Trips – We carpool and travel together to visit places like the Blue Army Shrine for Mass, Stations of the Cross and the Rosary.

Retreats – We have planned mini-retreats with a guest moderator, time for discussion and reflection and fun ice-breaker activities.

Topics on Tap – We meet at a local restaurant or pub to snack & sip while a guest speaker discusses issues related to our daily lives as Catholics.
